BLUE RAIN AND GREEN MEADOWS

(A poem dedicated to the SERVIEN CHRISTI MARIAE ’08)

I started a journey where I know not where it is bound
A path I followed where there is no return
Open fields keep its secret
Ignorant from the dangers of my travel

Blooming flowers lead my way
Warmth of the sunshine fills my heart with joy
In bed of roses I lay me down
Paradise Is where I am now

I run towards the horizon so free
Stumbling into a single stone which has caused me so much pain
Clouds have darkened my path
my meadows have gone dry

I look up to the angry skies
thus it strikes my soul with fear
I cry and kneel for help
Blue rain pours upon my shoulders

I continue along the dead meadow
Stones turned into rocks, rocks turned into boulders
Into a barren wasteland I have fallen, I cannot go back anymore
Still, blue rain continues to fill my heart with sorrow

I search for a place where I may rest
Yet, there is no sanctuary left for a torn flesh
Tears I shed for the sake of mercy
No one can hear as my soul moans for pity.

Alas! I am so near my destiny
But still the blue rain drowns me in misery
With pride I held my head up high
My faith I hold in my heart

I close my eyes and pursue my quest
Heaven whispers to keep me strong
Slowly I drag my feet in the dusty road
Believing that my troubles will end

Along I go, in the path I have chosen
As I felt the soft cool grass brushing my feet
I opened my eyes with such amaze
Rain that had once made me blue, Now has made my meadows green

BETTER THAN GOLD

I may not have gold
Yet I have someone when I become old
I may not reach the rainbows end
Yet I am here with you my friend

JUST ONE

It took me one week to see the real you
It took me one moment to know that you were true
One night to confess beneath the stars
One kiss to bring the warmth of mars

One episode that got us into one path
One equation more clear than math
One vow to get things done
Is this the end or have we just begun?

Alone in my corner, one thing missing
Deny if I must, but my heart is still aching
With loneliness you hide your passion
Each one disguising our own action

One chapter has brought us together
One wish to stay like this forever
One more day I ask to be with you
One more time to caress your hair, and whisper “Darling I love you”

One poem, One song
One more chance, I cannot go wrong
One heart, One soul
One more chance to become whole

One kingdom, One throne
One love forever, and one love alone
One lifetime, One you
“Darling, forever me and you”

A LOVER AND A FRIEND

A lover wants to be with you
But a friend doesn’t want to leave you
A lover wants to befriend you
But a friend already loves you

A lover is inspired by your strength
Only a friend understands your weakness

A lover makes you smile
A friend makes you laugh

A lover makes your heart whole
A friend uplifts your soul

A lover’s love is inspiring
A friend’s love is everlasting

Am I your lover or am I your friend?
A question to be answered as such…
Nothing more, nothing less,
I am just a friend who loves you very much!

SO CLOSE, YET SO FAR

I know, I feel, hard to deny what is real...
We laugh, we cry, we really don't know why...
You are to me, I am to you,
for heaven's sake, I cannot tell you what is true,
You are at night the shooting star,
so close, so near, yet you seem to be so far

HOT WATER

I sit quietly in my chamber
So down, so tired as far as I can remember
Test me not nor chain me forever
Time shall come, I shall burn you with my temper

FREE SPIRITED

I fly beyond the wonders of this earth
To be what I want to be, and what I am worth
I glide to the call of fantasy
Forgetting the troubles of reality
